Fiat Yamaha Team Fan of the Week – Brno – Aaron Jarmon

Each MotoGP round we are introducing a fan who will also receive a prize courtesy of our good friends at Fiat Yamaha Team

Name: Aaron Jarmon, @Archer77 – United States

How long have you been following motorcycle racing?

AJ: For as long as I can remember having cable or satellite I’ve followed motorcycle racing. I’ve always loved racing of ALMOST any type, but MotoGP is the only thing that can accelerate my heart rate and make me hold my breath on my couch!

How and where do you normally watch the races?

AJ: Usually at home. I wish that roadracing of all types carried more respect in the United States so that I would not have watch at awkward times of the day. I admit that I watch regardless of the time. I have to have my dose of adrenaline!

Have you ever attended any races at any level?

AJ: Yes. The AMA National races at VIR (Virginia International Raceway)

What got you into Motorbike Racing?

AJ: I’ve always loved motorsport in general and I’ve always had a deep passion for motorcycles but there is nothing like the skill, bravery, and focus of a MotoGP pilot. I was hooked from the first time I heard a 500cc racebike scream.

What do you ride?

AJ: I ride a 2006 Yamaha YZF-R6 {Will trade kidney for R1}

Most memorable experience on a motorcycle or watching bikes?

AJ: Watching Valentino Rossi pass Casey Stoner in the dirt at the top of the corkscrew at Laguna Seca for a victory.

Dorna for a day. You control Grand Prix racing at the highest level. What would you do, or change?

AJ: I’d like to see some of the dependancy on electronics dialed back. I would also like to work on growing/expanding the MotoGP brand in the US market. (Yes I am biased in that…)

If you could spend a day on a track with any racer (past or present), who would it be?

AJ: There are so many riders that I really try to follow and several legends that I admire, but my choice would have to be Valentino Rossi. Vale is a living legend in his prime and his mastery of his chosen profession is almost sublime. Plus his sense of humor is legendary.

Who is your favorite motorcycle racing legend?

AJ: Since I can’t pick Rossi I would say Alex Barros. His late braking capabilities made for an exciting style of racing.

Anything you’d like to share with the MRR community?

AJ: I love all things motorcycle with a passion. Especially MotoGP. My goal is to eventually find a way into the racing paddock some day. Until then I will continue to enjoy being an avid rider of roadbikes and devout follower of Valentino Rossi and the entire Yamaha squad.
