MotoGP Pick the Podium – Results for Round 5 – Silverstone

Round 5 of our MotoGP Pick the Podium contest was another nail-biter. The tie-breaker went down to margin of victory, which was won by 0.1 of a second! Second and third place also came down to the predicted margin of victory as well.  Congrats to the podium finishers – the trick is to keep competing every week and let the points pile up! In addition to the Grand Prizes that will be awarded at the end of the season, we have prizes awarded after every race, so you can play for those prizes as well as stay in the hunt for the long haul. Here are a few facts about the selections for the Silverstone round:

1. Dani Pedrosa and Jorge Lorenzo were the heavy favourites to win the race (almost a 60-40 split)

2. Of the 15 riders on the MotoGP grid, 5 were selected to win the race ( Stoner, Pedrosa, Lorenzo, Dovizioso, Capirossi)

3. Of the 15 riders on the MotoGP grid, 8 were selected for podium positions  (Stoner, Lorenzo, Dovizioso, Pedrosa, Hayden, Spies, Capirossi, De Puniet)

4. Only 1 player selected Ben Spies for a podium position

5. Seven players selected Marc Marquez to win the 125cc race

6. One player selected Jules Cluzel to win the Moto2 race
