MotoGP Contest – Pick the Podium – Round 1 – Win a FREE High-Res account on MotoGP.com!
It’s that time to show your vast powers of prediction for the opening round of the 2009 MotoGP Season! Round 1 takes us under the lights at the modern Losail Circuit in Qatar. The winner of this weekend’s contest wins a free High-Resolution account on MotoGP.com (for the 2009 Season) so that you can view pictures and video content in glorious High Resolution on your computer! The contest will be run every week and points will be awarded for your performance. The rules are simple:
1. Pick the top 3 finishers of the race. You must pick a rider to finish in each position.
2. Supply the margin of victory in seconds. You can use tenths of a second also. For example, you can enter 1.1 or 2.0 seconds. The margin of victory will be used as a tie-breaker in case there are multiple correct entries. The closest entry to the actual margin of victory will be the winner. If there are multiple correct entries, then the winners will be placed into a drawing. Only one guess per entry, and only one entry per individual.
3. Email your entries to contest@motogptalk.com. Your email address will not be stored online for any purpose, you will only be contacted via email if you win. Supply a name (or nickname) so that we can announce who won here and on our Twitter feed (http://twitter.com/motogptalk). You’ll also be asked to supply a Team Name (example: Team Insomnia) if you want to compete every week. Stats will be posted every week.
As an option, if you must, you can Tweet us your predictions, but everyone will see what a genius you are and steal your picks!
4. Points awarded – In addition to winning the High-Resolution account on MotoGP.com this week, points will be awarded each week for the grand prizes at the end of the season.
5. MotoGPTalk reserves the right to alter contest rules and all decisions are final. (We have to say that.)
Sample Entry:
Name: Joe Fanboy

ALL ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED VIA EMAIL NO LATER THAN THE START OF QUALIFYING PRACTICE. USE THE CLOCK AT MOTOGP.COM AS THE OFFICIAL TIME.
The prize will be awarded and announced Monday morning (April 13). The prize is 100% transferable (in the event you want to give it away as a gift) Good Luck!
